Obertrauner Hof

We are pleased to announce that we have ordered a Renault Trafic mini-bus, for delivery in November 2011. This will allow us to offer daily transfers to the Krippenstein and Dachstein West as well as Salzburg Airport. All of which we hope will make your stay at the Obertrauner Hof more convenient and so less stressful.

We have put together a package including; 2 Nights Accommodation, Meals and transfers, for the famous St Wolfgang Advent Markt, every weekend during December. Contact us for more information. Maximum group size 8 people.

The Dachstein mountains surrounding Obertraun provide excellent ski opportunities for the whole Family. Your Ski Pass covers the Dachstein West Ski Region offering 130km of mainly intermediate piste, ideal for those looking to improve their technique and gain in confidence. Also included is the Krippenstein, boasting the longest run in Austria at 11km and good off-piste opportunities.

The more adventurous can venture out to try the Snowshoe tours, back country skiing on the Krippenstein or mushing weeks on the Hallstatt glacier. Those who prefer a gentler pace can delight in the hundreds of kilometres of fantastic cross country skiing trails and numerous winter footpaths.

Unforgettable moments are also guaranteed for winter sport individualists in the form of ice climbing or boarding in the spectacular Free-Ride Arena Krippenstein and paragliding over the breath-taking scenery of the mighty Dachstein massif.
